Since school started again I've been going for a walk after I drop the kids off. I usually walk them to the playground then continue on around the block and back home. It takes me about 20 minutes. Well, today is Craig's day off, so he decided to go with me. We also took Freeway the dog. We went a different way, through our friend's neighborhood. This route is about a mile. As we returned home, Craig said, "Do you want to keep going or do you want to stop?" I said, "I'm stopping. I have dance tonight." So we go up to the garage door to open it and it won't work; the battery is dead. We are locked out! All the doors are locked, the windows are locked, the doggie door is too small, and neither of us have our phones or wallets. As we sat on the front porch trying to figure out what to do, we finally decided to walk over to Kristy's house (the neighborhood we just walked through!) to see if she had a 9 volt battery. I knew if anyone did it would be Kristy! Sure enough she did and we were able to get back in the house. So, long story short, we ended up walking the extra mile and we're going to the store today to get extra keys made. :)

Well at least you were with Uncle Craig and not by yourself. Similar thing happened to Camille a month ago. We ended up getting a neighbor to come over, climb up the ladder(we borrowed) and go in the ONLY open window! Quick question, I have a random comment on my blog and I went (his) site and it's aweful, do you know how to set up the blog for invited users only?
It must be the day for being locked out. Barry Bretton totally locked us out of the car when I went grocery shopping today. What are the chances of that happening on the same day. Minor set back but it all turned out well. The thought of you and Craig going for walks together without kids just brings a smile to my face. Your guys are just fabulous.
funny...i totally asked for a key once! :)
I guess Mel told you my story of how I was locked out of my house a while back. It was bad news. Thankfully Mike had left one window unlocked or I have no idea what we would have done. Also thankfullly, I have great neighbors.
Melanie,
Go to "customize", then "settings", then "permissions." Under "Who can view this blog?" change it to "Only people I choose." That stinks! Hope you can get it figured out.
