My mom's irises...part two.

When I started blogging about a year ago, one of my first posts was about my mom's irises and how they didn't bloom the spring after she died. Well, Craig moved them from the back yard to the front in hopes that we might just save them. So I'm posting now to say that there definitely is life after death. They bloomed beautifully this year! I was so happy! These are the first pictures, when only the yellow had bloomed. Since then we have enjoyed white and orange flowers as well. This is probably the nicest time of year here. We are making the most of it, for we know the wind will begin soon...like today...and blow all my flowers away. Oh well!

The flowers are BEAUTIFUL!!I hope the wind does not destroy them!

Reading your blog reminds me of my grandmother. She lived here in Vegas, and she had prize winning irises in her backyard! I need to find a picture of them:-)

They look great, Aunt Ruth. I'm so glad you were able to move them and have them bloom this spring. So many things remind me of Grandma and flowers definitely do.

RUTH! So glad you have a blog and that I found it!! I will look forward to catching up on you and your family!! How have you been? I have some of Grandma Toni's flowers that I plan on taking with me from house to house until I am in a rest home... if I last that long.
